At Impact Gym Flooring we pride ourselves on our high standards, attention to detail and doing things the correct way. Too many times we came across poorly fitted flooring, most of the time this is a problem from the root source, the subfloor. At Impact Gym Flooring we follow all manufacturers guidelines for subfloor preparation. From the initial and vital moisture test, to the final sanding ready for fitting and all relevant stages in between. We don’t cut corners, we use tried and tested methods and materials, along with correct adhesives to ensure the best possible finish we can.

Subfloor prep is probably the most vital aspect in flooring. Correctly done subfloor prep will ensure a high standard finish along with correct adhesion of your chosen flooring finish. We follow all all procedures to make sure your chosen finish is long lasting and fit for purpose. When subfloor prep is incorrectly installed this can affect your chosen finish. Poor screed can crack and release from the floor usually because a water based screed is used or no primer was used before the screed. At Impact Gym Flooring we prime every florae fit along with using the correct latex based screed for a high tensile, strong durable finish. Another reason for subfloor failure can be damp or moisture ingress. We check floors with a moisture/damp meter and recommend a liquid membrane to be installed when below manufacturers standards. For a wooden subfloor we install a range of ply finishes depending on what’s required, these range from 6mm - 25mm. For a stronger ultra durable saturation e can fit a duel layer of steel sheeting practically indestructible in a gym environment.
Using correct adhesives for specific materials is vital to ensure the permanent bond of your chosen floor finish. All our rubber products and bonded using a polyurethane adhesive. This high strength adhesive stops rubber from expanding and contracting in our climates unpredictable temperatures. For other products that require bonding we use tried and tested adhesives to guarantee longevity and performance.
To make sure our customers receive the best possible standard of flooring we choose certain manufacturers that we trust and believe to deliver the highest performing products. With hugely durable subfloor materials, superior adhesive bonds and aesthetic and high performing finishing products we believe we have the best on the market.
